ntfyme Extension Privacy Policy

Billing/Pro Subscription Updates

We use your email address to send billing or pro subscription updates. Stripe is used for payment processing and securely stores your billing info. We do not have access to your card details. Your billing address is required for payment but is never used/stored for anything or anywhere else.

Marketing (if applicable)

We may also use your email address for marketing purposes if you have opted-in to receive them.

Authentication

Your email address is required for authentication purposes.

Misuse Prevention (as stated in our Terms of Service)

We use your email address to prevent misuse, as outlined in our Terms of Service.

Temporary Logging

We may temporarily log user activity to help us identify and resolve any issues. However, we reserve the right to use these logs to identify bugs or issues in the future.

Data Retention and Request

If you cancel your pro subscription, you have the right to request that we remove any personal data associated with your account. We may need to retain certain information, such as payment history, for auditing purposes.

Please note that this policy applies primarily to our Pro Subscription feature. However, we reserve the right to update this policy as needed.

Free Version

The free version of ntfyme requires no login and can be accessed without any personal data collection. However, we may still collect some aggregated data to improve our services as needed.

Storage and Encryption

We take your settings and configuration details seriously. At the time of this writing:

  • Settings and configuration details are saved locally (via Chrome/Firefox APIs)
  • Sync storage is used to synchronize settings across devices
  • Local and sync storage are encrypted at rest, making them inaccessible to us or third parties

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy as needed. If we make any changes, we will post an updated version on our website.
